Codice Side Table

Inspired by the bark-paper codices of ancient Mesoamerica, the Códice Side Table reflects on wood not only as a material, but as a medium through which knowledge, memory, and culture have been preserved across generations. Crafted from solid oak, each piece is distinguished by hand-chiseled carvings created using the traditional conchitas technique by master artisans in Antigua Guatemala. The interplay between the disciplined geometry of the form and the spontaneous rhythm of the carved surface celebrates the dialogue between order and human touch. The series translates the enduring idea of the codex into material, transforming wood into a contemporary vessel for memory, craftsmanship, and cultural continuity.
