Geometric Art Deco Coffee Service with Bakelite Handles - 1930s

Exceptional Art Deco coffee service from the 1930s, distinguished by its striking geometric construction and contrasting black Bakelite handles. The entire service is conceived around a remarkably consistent vocabulary of conical and triangular forms. The monumental coffee pot with its sharply pointed lid forms the centrepiece, echoed by the smaller serving pot, sugar bowl and four matching cups with saucers. Angular black handles provide a dramatic contrast to the polished metal surfaces and reinforce the distinctly architectural, Machine Age character of the design. Particularly impressive as a complete ensemble, the service has a strong sculptural presence that extends far beyond its original function. The set consists of 11 pieces: large coffee pot, smaller serving pot, sugar bowl with lid, four cups and four matching saucers. Original vintage condition with mild age-related patina.
