Massif Carved Stool in Eucalyptus Wood

Our Massif Stools are conceived as an exploration of simple sculptural form, reduced to its most elemental expression. Each stool is hand-carved from solid eucalyptus, allowing the material’s natural irregularities, grain and weight to remain an integral part of the design. The deliberately monolithic construction gives the pieces a sense of permanence and presence, while subtle variations in proportion and carving make each one unique. Available in raw eucalyptus or a deeply charred finish, the Massif Stools sit somewhere between furniture and sculpture — functional objects shaped by hand and intended to be appreciated as much for their materiality and form as for their use. As these pieces are sculptural works - each piece will have slight variations in form but will remain aesthetically consistent. Each piece is shipped in a custom wooden crate to the order destination. The price is per stool.
