Steel and Stone Side Table - Colgada Series

The Colgada Side Table is a compact sculptural stainless steel and marble side table by Nitush Aroosh, part of the Colgado Collection. A polished mineral surface sits above a sculpted steel base twisted and folded like compressed metal — the collection's full architectural ambition in a compact footprint.

Each piece is shaped through hydroforming and then compressed and folded by hand, producing bases that bear visible marks of force — folds and impressions that register the pressure of their making. The mirror-polished steel catches and distorts surrounding light across the folded forms. Against the stillness of marble — which absorbs and holds colour without distortion — the steel appears all the more dynamic and alive. 

Compact but visually weighty, the Colgada Side Table brings the collection's material tension into close range — the contrast between cool stone and forcefully folded steel most intimate at this scale. Nitush Aroosh is a collectible design studio founded by brothers Nitush and Aroosh Mahipal in New Delhi, India. Self-taught and process-driven, they transform stainless steel through hydroforming and hand-hammering into sculptural furniture and lighting — fluid forms, stilled in time.
