Sven Jonson "Facett" Ceramic Ashtray, For Gustavsberg, 1960s

A rare ceramic ashtray from the iconic "Facett 9" series by Sven Jonson for Gustavsberg, 1960s. Features a distinctive cashmere matte base with glossy painting of ship in bronze colour. Sven Jonson (1919–1998) is one of the representatives of the illustrious Swedish ceramic design of the 20th century. He was one of the designers at the Gustavsberg factory in the 1930–1980s. Jonson is represented at numerous museums in Sweden.
