TChair brings two contrasting gestures into dialogue. The seat, gouge-carved, retains the direct, primal mark of the tool—a pronounced texture that follows the body’s contours rather than a geometric rule. The base, by contrast, adopts a sophisticated, architectural language: crisp facets, an arched cutout where it meets the seat, and an almost totemic silhouette that seems to carry the chair like a ritual pedestal. The slender, angled backrest culminates in a wider top section—a final stroke, almost a graphic signature, crowning the piece. The result is a work where two temporalities coexist—the immediate, manual gesture and the deliberate precision of the design—without ever merging into one another. One-of-a-kind piece, handcrafted.
