Designed by David Marshall, this square brass ashtray pairs a heavily textured brass frame with a smooth aluminium centre. The contrast between the two metals gives the object a quiet architectural quality while remaining unmistakably tactile. Although conceived as an ashtray, its sculptural presence lends itself just as naturally to holding jewellery, keys or other small objects.
