Wood and Stainless Steel V60 Side Table

As a designer, I believe that great ideas come from the ordinary life, from the routine, from the elements that surround us. Also as a Brazilian, what could be more part of my day-to-day morning routine than a filtered black coffee? The starting point to this project was a V60 coffee dripper, an item I see and use on a daily basis, and the result was a unique contemporary side table, a true sculptural statement. THE TABLE The V60 side table is composed of 4 parts: • THE COFFEE ITSELF: a plywood circular tabletop (Ø = 50cm) laminated with Imbuya wood • THE FILTER: an aluminum cone-shaped mesh • THE FILTER SUPPORT: a 304 brushed stainless steel cylindrical structure, surrounded by a disk, which also serves as a table top • THE COFFEE JAR: a 304 brushed stainless steel cylindrical structure MATERIALS: 304 brushed stainless steel, Imbuya laminated wood, and aluminum mesh.
